Welcome to Visiolog ("we," "our," or "us"). We respect your privacy and are strongly committed to keeping secure any information we obtain from you. This Privacy Policy describes our practices with respect to data handled when you access Visiolog, utilize our document extraction and Optical Character Recognition (OCR) services, run standalone instances, or interact with our software.
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, including the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023 and the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR).
2. Information We Collect & Privacy Architecture
Visiolog is designed with a privacy-first, local-first architecture. In standalone mode, your documents and spreadsheets remain 100% on your local device without external transmission.
2.1 Uploaded Documents
When you select images or documents for extraction, files are processed temporarily in browser volatile memory to extract text and tabular matrices. We do not retain raw document images.
2.2 Zero Image Storage
Uploaded documents are converted in memory and permanently discarded after text transcription into spreadsheet rows.
2.3 API Keys
User-provided API keys (Google Gemini, OpenRouter) are stored exclusively in your browser's local storage and transmit directly to the AI provider endpoint over encrypted HTTPS.
3. Data Security and Sovereignty
We implement strong security measures including TLS encryption in transit and sandbox isolation. In local-first mode, all data resides entirely in your client environment.
4. Your Data Protection Rights
Under the NDPA and global data privacy standards, you possess rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, and port your personal data.
